CRACKED: 96-year old woman in coke ring bust
MARCH 11--Robert Lee McKiernan was done in by his desire for some tasty snack cakes. The 35-year-old Cedar Rapids man was nabbed by Buchanan County sheriff's deputies shortly after allegedly swiping a box of Ho Hos and some Hostess crumb cakes from an Iowa farm building. When cops caught up with McKiernan's vehicle--about two miles from the crime scene--they discovered "precursors to manufacture Methamphetamine along with the snack cakes," according to this sheriff's press release, which points out McKiernan's particularly hard luck when it came to the location of the phone used to report his felonious activity.
