RAPPED: Judge uses hip hop verse in dismissing Eminem suit
OCTOBER 21--More than three years after being sued for divorce, Janet Jackson is back on the market--legally speaking--after her marriage to Rene Elizondo officially went kaput last week, according to court records. However, details of the Jackson-Elizondo divorce settlement are not contained in documents filed October 15 in Los Angeles Superior Court. Elizondo, 41, and Jackson, 37, secretly married in 1991 and Elizondo filed for divorce in May 2000. He has previously claimed that Ms. Jackson manipulated him into signing a pre-nuptial agreement that separated assets acquired by each party before or during their union. While we're sure Elizondo is not happy that his marriage cratered, he must be pleased that he'll: a) no longer be called Michael Jackson's brother-in-law; and b) not have to attend those freaky Jackson family Thanksgivings.
