L.A. Sheriff's Report On Brutality Incident
This is the official incident report prepared by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies involved in the controversial July 6 Inglewood traffic stop that ended with an officer allegedly assaulting 16-year-old Donovan Jackson, a violent confrontation that was caught on videotape. According to cops, the teenager--whose family has described him as a special education student--ignored police commands, lunged at a cop without warning, and "pulled, scratched, and fought with [deputies] requiring Inglewood police personnel to strike the subject with personal weapons on his facial area." Officer Jeremy Morse, who was filmed punching Jackson and smashing the teen onto a squad car, has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of an internal Inglewood Police Department probe.
