APRIL 30--After police found them in possession of 1400 bags of heroin, two elderly Pennsylvania sisters immediately ratted out their supplier, a 28-year-old man nicknamed 'Little Tony,' court records show.
Elizabeth Grube, 70, and Elaine Volkert, 65, were nabbed Tuesday for allegedly dealing drugs from their Monroe County home, which was raided earlier this month by cops. Grube (top) and Volkert are pictured here in police mug shots.
Evidence photos of the heroin bindles seized during the execution of a search warrant can be found here and here.
The pensioners, who have also dealt pot and crack cocaine, told agents that their heroin supplier was Julio 'Little Tony' Checo. At the direction of investigators, Volkert set up a $7000 buy from Checo, who was busted as he headed to a meeting with her outside an Arby's on Route 611 in Stroudsburg, according to a criminal complaint.
Grube, Volkert, and Checo are each facing felony drug and conspiracy charges. (4 pages)
