While it's unclear what brought the bureau, search warrant in hand, to the property in Milford Township, we're guessing it's based on information as reliable as prior tips about the Teamster boss's July 1975 disappearance. Two of our favorite accounts--one of which claims Hoffa is buried on a different Michigan farm--are memorialized in FBI memos on the following pages. For our younger visitors, we've also posted a Hoffa primer that was prepared 50 years ago by a St. Louis Teamsters local. The document, excerpts of which can be found here, notes that Hoffa is a 'tough taskmaster' who requires staffers to maintain an 'early-to-bed, early-to-rise regimen, and no drinking on the job.' On a related note, if the FBI does unearth him, we're pretty sure our Hoffa customized stamps will immediately jump in value. (7 pages)
