Playwright/actor Sam Shepard was arrested for aggravated DWI in May 2015. Shepard, 71, was collared near his New Mexico home after concerned workers at a Santa Fe restaurant called 911 to report that an inebriated patron was preparing to drive away from the eatery. Shepard, who won the 1979 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, has appeared in films like “Days of Heaven” and “Black Hawk Down.” In 1983, he was nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of test pilot Chuck Yeager in “The Right Stuff.”
