We're not sure what purpose it served, but here is a World War II-era report prepared by a British psychoanalyst who studied the subconscious of the soldiers sent into battle by that country's Special Operations Executive.
The bizarre Freudian analysis, recently released by the Public Records Office, the UK's national archive, examined the hidden sexual significance behind various wartime activities.
