Bikini Wax Beef Ends With Bust Of Boozy Babe
Cops: Intoxicated Iowan incensed by salon brushoff
AUGUST 23--Denied a bikini wax because salon employees believed she was intoxicated, an Iowa woman became incensed and struck a worker in the head with a towel, resulting in her arrest for assault.
Iowa City cops report that after Anna Bacon-Silveira, 39, was denied service yesterday afternoon at Zender’s Salon and Spa she “became upset and assaulted an employee by snapping a towel at her. The employee was not seriously injured,” according to criminal complaints.
Bacon-Silveira fled the salon on foot, but was stopped by cops when she was spotted running behind the Iowa City Police Department headquarters, which is a block from Zender’s. Cops noted that a wobbly Bacon-Silveira “appeared to be very intoxicated and admitted drinking.”
The suspect, pictured in the above mug shot, “reported being angry because they wouldn’t give her a bikini wax.”
Along with the misdemeanor assault count, Bacon-Silveira was charged with public intoxication. She immediately pleaded guilty to both charges and was ordered to pay a $390 fine. (2 pages)
