In what appears to be an homage to the legendary Foo Fighters rider, the rock group Shinedown has peppered its list of backstage demands with references to Asian hookers, Color Me Badd, the allure of Pringles, and the terroristic subtext of purple Skittles.
While the Foo Fighters and Iggy and the Stooges riders remain the gold standard in creative writing, the Shinedown effort, excerpted here, is a commendable, if derivative, effort. (4 pages)
