Face Behind The Name: Meet Rayon McIntosh, McDonald’s Cashier Who Beat Customers With Metal Rod

Meet Rayon McIntosh.

Until last Thursday, the 31-year-old New York City man was just another McDonald’s cashier who had just gotten out of state prison after spending 10 years on a manslaughter conviction (McIntosh fatally shot a teenage friend).

Now he’s known as the guy who used a metal rod to beat the crap out of two female customers at a McDonald’s in Greenwich Village.

Since the cell phone video of the attack--for which he was busted on felony assault charges--does not offer a clear view of McIntosh, here’s a photo taken of him a few days before his March 3 release from the custody of the New York State Department of Correctional Services.

According to a criminal complaint, one of the female victims--who jumped the counter after slapping McIntosh in the face during a dispute about her order--suffered a “fractured skull requiring surgery” and a broken bone in her arm. The second woman suffered “substantial pain and a laceration.”

McIntosh, who is being held at the Manhattan Detention Complex in lieu of $40,000 bail, is scheduled tomorrow for a Criminal Court appearance.
