IRS Clips Star Hairstylist With Six-Figure Tax Liens

Hairstylist to the stars Ken Paves found himself again tangled up with the Internal Revenue Service last week when tax officials filed a $102,000 tax lien against him, records show.

According to documents filed with New York City’s Department of Finance on November 9, Paves owes $102,371.29 in taxes on his 2008 individual tax return. The 39-year-old coiffeur, who owns eponymous salons in Beverly Hills, Michigan, and Florida, was also hit last year with a $141,618.27 IRS lien covering his 2007 return.

The two IRS liens against Paves total $243,989.56.

Paves, pictured at right, has made guest appearances on “Oprah” and “America’s Next Top Model,” and his celebrity clientele includes Jessica Simpson, Eva Longoria, and Jennifer Lopez.
