George Zimmerman's Wife Reunites With Him In Florida County Jail

George Zimmerman’s wife was arrested today and charged with perjury for allegedly lying when she testified under oath at her husband’s April bond hearing in the Trayvon Martin murder case.

During her sworn testimony, Zimmerman claimed that she and her 28-year-old husband were essentially destitute and unable to post a significant bond to secure George’s release from jail. In fact, the couple had more than $135,000 that was donated, via Paypal, through a Zimmerman web site.

Tapes of phone calls placed by Zimmerman from the Seminole County jail record him discussing with Shellie the transfer of money raised online.

Zimmerman was booked this afternoon into the John E. Polk Correctional Facility, where her husband is also a prisoner.
