Los Angeles prosecutors will not seek the death penalty in the Robert Blake murder case if the actor is convicted of murdering his wife, it was announced today. The decision was made following a review by District Attorney Steve Cooley's Special Circumstances Committee, which considers potential capital cases. Prosecutors will seek a sentence of life without parole for Blake, who has been accused of May 2001 killing of Bonny Lee Bakley. (1 page)
