As if the array of classic American trademarks isn't impressive enough (the list already includes McDonald's, Preparation H, and the Chia Pet), another famous name is about to get a TM. Titanic heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio has applied to the Department of Commerce to have his name trademarked. In late-July, the 24-year-old actor's TM application, which is reproduced here, got a preliminary approval from Commerce's Patent & Trademark Office. (3 pages)
