50 Cent Sued By "Nine Bullets" Doctor

MAY 6--We can't get enough of this guy 50 Cent. The rapper, who famously survived a nine-bullet fusillade, is now being sued by the orthopedic surgeon who cared for him following that May 2000 shooting. According to Dr. Nader Paksima, the 27-year-old rap star (real name: Curtis Jackson) has stiffed him for more than $32,000 in medical bills, which prompted Paksima to yesterday file the below lawsuit in New York's State Supreme Court. Paksima (photo right) alleged that he operated on the performer at Queens's Jamaica Hospital and provided follow-up care, for which 50 Cent has not paid a nickel. The rap star, whose debut album has sold more than 4.5 million copies since its February release, spoke about getting shot in a Time magazine interview earlier this year. "I mean it's not funny when you're actually getting shot, but afterwards, yeah, it's funny," he said. "When I got shot in the hip it cracked bone and when I got out of the hospital they didn't give me medication, so that really hurt." As TSG has previously reported, the rapper--who is working on an autobiography titled "Number One With Nine Bullets"--once made a living selling crack and heroin. In addition, a recently unsealed IRS affidavit attributed the attempted murder of 50 Cent to a notorious Queens druglord closely affiliated with the rival Murder, Inc. record label. (3 pages)
