Meet Alpatchino

SEPTEMBER 13--Meet Alpatchino Jeune.

The 25-year-old ex-con--whose parents, we're guessing, must have loved “Scarface”--is back behind bars for failing to appear in court to answer charges that he battered his pregnant girlfriend and possessed Ecstasy, according to court records.

Jeune was busted Friday and booked into the Orange County jail in Orlando. After Jeune did not show for a September 1 court hearing, a judge revoked his bond and issued an arrest warrant.

Jeune was initially busted in early-June for allegedly pummeling his 24-year-old girlfriend in the face and stomach as she drove him to work in her car. The woman, who was six months pregnant at the time, told police that she asked Jeune to “think of his unborn child,” but he “continued to strike her,” an arrest affidavit states.

When the vehicle approached an intersection across the street from an Orlando emergency room, the victim turned off the vehicle, jumped out, and ran toward the ER. Before fleeing on foot, Jeune, police allege, stole the woman’s iPhone and purse, which contained her credit cards, driver’s license, and Social Security card.

Jeune was subsequently arrested after cops traced the victim’s phone to an Orlando residence, where he was found sitting in a parked vehicle. A search of Jeune turned up marijuana, Ecstasy, and the victim’s driver’s license and Social Security card.

Jeune’s rap sheet includes convictions for burglary; criminal mischief; grand theft; possession of burglar’s tools; resisting; theft; and driving without a license. In addition to the charges filed in June, Jeune is also facing a separate domestic battery rap for allegedly attacking his girlfriend in March.

While Al Pacino has given memorable performances in many films--“Serpico,” “Dog Day Afternoon,” “Donnie Brasco,” the Godfather movies--his portrayal of Tony Montana, the homicidal drug kingpin, in 1983’s “Scarface,” has had an enduring cultural resonance, from rap music and t-shirts to posters and tattoos.

Jeune, in fact, is not the only criminal whose parents copped the 82-year-old actor’s name. Ohioan D’Alcapone Alpacino Morris, 34, is serving a sentence of 35 years to life in state prison for murder, burglary, robbery, and cocaine possession. He is scheduled for an initial parole board hearing in December 2044, according to prison records. (2 pages)
