Doggone Nice Mug Shot, Leona!

JULY 2--With the news today that Leona Helmsley intended her multibillion dollar estate to be used entirely for the care of dogs, it seemed like the perfect occasion to unveil this mug shot of the so-called Queen of Mean. The previously unseen booking photo was snapped in April 1988 after Helmsley, who died last year at age 87, surrendered to face federal income tax evasion charges. She was later convicted of those felony raps and spent about 18 months in prison. (1 page)
