Gangsta rap impresario Marion "Suge" Knight was jailed yesterday (12/23) on parole violation charges. Knight, who was arrested after meeting with his parole officer, has been charged with four violations of his release terms, including associating with known gang members and living in a Malibu residence that had not been disclosed to parole officials. As this Los Angeles Sheriff's Department report details, a November 14 search of Knight's L.A. crib turned up photos of Tha Row Records boss with "other gang members at a party throwing up gang signs." Knight, who has long been affiliated with the Bloods street gang, will remain imprisoned until a hearing before California's Board of Prison Terms, which will either revoke Knight's parole or toss the violation charges. Knight had been previously been sentenced to probation (at both the state and federal levels) in connection with weapons and assault cases. In 1996, Knight was found to have violated terms of his release for his role in a brawl in the lobby of a Las Vegas casino. Shipped off to a federal cell, Knight spent nearly five years in the can before his August 2001 release. (2 pages)
