Road Rubbing

DECEMBER 31--After pulling over a motorist whose vehicle almost struck the curb “multiple times” early Thursday morning, a Florida cop walked up to the driver’s side door and immediately detected “the presence of alcohol.”

When the officer asked Ronny White, 53, “if everything was ok,” White’s female passenger jumped in to offer an explanation for her companion’s erratic 1 AM operation of his 2014 Ford truck.

Dianne Dash, 48, apologized to police, claiming that the close curb encounters “may be my fault.” She explained that, “It’s my birthday and I was rubbing all over him trying to get him excited.”

Dash said the duo was returning from a restaurant in Stuart where they celebrated her December 26 birthday.

White was asked by a St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office deputy if “other than her rubbing all over you, is everything else ok with you?” He replied yes, and reportedly agreed to a series of field sobriety tests.

Seen above, White performed poorly on those tests, reported a deputy who “felt White was impaired an unable to operate a vehicle safely.” White, who declined to take a breath test, was arrested for driving under the influence and booked into the county jail.

White was freed from custody after posting a $500 bond on the misdemeanor count. He is scheduled for arraignment on February 20.

It is unclear if Dash eventually received a birthday present. (2 pages)
