Cops: Man Put Bodily Fluid In Co-Worker's Mug
Suspect, 62, repeatedly clashed with female victim
6/20/19 UPDATE: This vile idiot gets off with probation
AUGUST 7--After repeatedly clashing with a female co-worker, a Florida man allegedly twice placed semen into the water mug used by the victim, who consumed some of the tainted liquid, police allege.
Robert Tyson, 62, was charged last week with two counts of misdemeanor battery in connection with his alleged vile activities inside the offices of a Tallahaseee dermatology center. Tyson, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges, was fired from his job last month.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the 37-year-old victim told police that while she was consuming water from her mug last month, she “became aware of a distinct taste and smell.” Upon inspecting the inside of the mug, she “observed a white colored mucous substance floating atop the water.”
The victim, police noted, “believed that semen had been placed into the water mug while it was unattended on her desk.”
The July 2 discovery reminded the woman of an incident a week earlier when she “detected a strange taste” in her water and subsequently spotted a “white colored” substance atop the liquid.
A subsequent review of security camera footage revealed that Tyson (seen above) had snuck into the woman’s office on July 2 and poured the contents of what appeared to be a specimen container into the water mug. On June 26, security video showed, Tyson “was observed to have a small container in his right hand. He poured the contents of that container into the mug, replaced the lid, and then departed from the office.”
The victim told police that she suspected Tyson targeted her because he thought she “lacked the capability to be an effective office manager.” Tyson, she added, had written several letters to her and her superiors “indicating that he was not satisfied with her management style.”
Tyson, who scanned medical documents into electronic files, was canned immediately after a review of the surveillance video.
In a July 4 e-mail to the company’s HR manager, Tyson provided a “letter of admission of guilt and a plea to end this matter quickly.” Claiming that he was “repulsed at the thought of my action,” Tyson wrote that, “I put a couple of drops of semen in her water. Yes, semen. Why semen? Why put anything at all in there? I-DO-NOT-KNOW!!! I-JUST-DO-NOT-KNOW!!!”
Tyson’s letter went on to “blame his actions on exhaustion due to his work schedule,” noted cops, who added that Tyson’s confession was solely in regards to the July 2 incident. “He had not been confronted with the existence of video footage capturing” the late-June tampering.
Tyson, who has been ordered by a judge to have no contact with the victim, is free on bond and has been outfitted with a GPS tracking device. He is next due in court on September 5. (3 pages)
