***MARCH 11 UPDATE: Williams charged with five more felonies.***
This is the probable cause affidavit filed this afternoon (2/25) charging former NBA star Jayson Williams with reckless manslaughter in the February 14 shooting death of limousine driver Costas Christofi. New Jersey prosecutors allege that Williams accidentally shot the 55-year-old Christofi while carelessly handling a shotgun during a tour of his 30,000-square-foot home. The retired New Jersey Net forward, who hired Christofi to drive a group of friends following a charity event in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, was released on $250,000 bail and is scheduled for a March 4 appearance in Hunterdon County Criminal Court.
