Man Arrested For McDonald's Condiment Attack
Cops: Perp pelted girlfriend with dipping sauce
JULY 1--Incensed that his girlfriend “bought the wrong food from McDonald’s,” a Florida Man yesterday struck the woman “with sweet and sour sauce packets in the head and face area,” according to a felony battery complaint.
Cops say that Jesus Oscar Ferrer Jr. attacked the woman--with whom he has a child--in the couple’s room at a motel in suburban Tampa.
The victim told police that Ferrer “became angry” and began arguing with her over the “wrong food” being purchased at McDonald’s. During the Sunday afternoon dispute, Ferrer, 30, allegedly began pelting the woman with plastic containers of McDonald’s “Sweet ‘n Sour” dipping sauce.
During the ensuing struggle, Ferrer pinned the woman to the ground, prompting her to rip a chunk of his beard off, cops say. “This is when he let her up,” the complaint reports. Investigators responding to a 911 call noted that the woman had “marks consistent with her statements.”
Ferrer fled the motel, but was subsequently arrested and booked into the Pasco County jail on a felony battery charge. He is scheduled today for an initial court appearance.
Seen above, Ferrer was charged with a felony since he was convicted in April of battering his girlfriend at another motel (he was accused of biting the woman’s thigh during an argument). Ferrer entered a no contest plea to the misdemeanor charge and was sentenced to time served and ordered to pay about $750 in fines and court costs.
Ferrer, who has worked as a roofer, was arrested in July 2018 for allegedly battering the same woman, but that case was later dropped by prosecutors. (1 page)
