James Donaldson, the online personality known as "Mr. Beast," was busted in North Carolina in January 2018 for reckless driving and speeding. Donaldson, who was 19 at the time, was clocked going 122 mph in his BMW i8 as he raced another vehicle on U.S. Route 64 in the town of Tarboro. After posting $100,000 bond, Donaldson pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to a year of unsupervised probation.
