John Mitchell, attorney general under Richard Nixon, served 19 months in prison after being convicted of conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and perjury charges in connection with his role in the Watergate scandal. Mitchell, who served as AG from 1969 until 1972, died in 1988 at the age of 75.
