While angling last year to lessen his prison term on a felony weapons possession conviction, the rapper T.I. (real name: Clifford Harris) detailed how he had spoken to hundreds of youth groups about the importance of education and such things.

In light of his arrest last night in Los Angeles on drug charges, here’s an excerpt from Harris’s presentencing memo filed last March in U.S. District Court (where he received the kind of sweetheart deal usually reserved for most, but not all, government informants). These were the eight themes Harris stressed when addressing thousands of impressionable kids.
